OMNILife science appoints Steven Nunes SVP of sales, marketing — 5 key notes

“Steve has developed a commercial strategy aimed to strengthen OMNI’s leadership in the emerging field of robotic assisted total knee and hip replacement,” said OMNI’s CEO Rick Randall. “It is now time to consolidate the remaining sales and product marketing disciplines under his leadership to ensure the execution of our plan for sustained revenue growth. Changing the face of orthopedic surgery requires strategic selling, high-level surgeon training, product and procedural marketing and world-class customer service.”

1. In his new role, Mr. Nunes is responsible for global sales and product marketing management and will maintain his role in the robotics market development.

 

2. He has more than 30 years of experience in sales and marketing management at emerging growth medical device companies.

 

3. Mr. Nunes previously served as senior vice president of sales and marketing at MAKO Surgical. Under his leadership, the company’s orthopedic robotic and hip and knee implant product revenue grew from $0.4 million to $85 million over five years.

 

4. He joined OMNILife science in December 2014.

 

5. Mr. Nunes feels the company is in position to deliver value to patient, surgeons, hospitals and other healthcare system stakeholders.
