NuVasive exec to exit

NuVasive’s executive vice president and chief commercial officer, Massimo Calafiore, is stepping down, the devicemaker said Aug. 9.

Mr. Calafiore’s will step down Aug. 31 and take over as CEO of an unnamed orthopedic medtech company, according to a news release. His responsibilities will be reallocated across NuVasive management.

“In my five years at NuVasive, I am very proud of our collective work to transform surgery, advance care and, most importantly, change the lives of patients around the world,” Mr. Calafiore said in the release.
