San Diego-based NuVasive launched its Maximum Access Surgery Posterior Lumbar Interbody Fusion procedure.

The MAS PLIF system is now available in the U.S., Australia, Switzerland, Italy and Germany.

The minimally disruptive system is designed to eliminate the need to retract back muscles laterally as wide as any open procedure requires. Less muscle disruption reduces post-operative pain and enables a faster recovery.
