The Exactech GPS system includes trackers placed on a patient’s bone that relays measurements and information as well as a visual image of the knee to a computer monitor. According to Mark Petty, MD, an orthopedic surgeon at the hospital, the system allows surgeons to more precisely align, measure and fit a knee implant, notes the report.
