New York investment fund invests $500K in device company

The Western New York Impact Investment Fund invested $500,000 in Garwood Medical Devices, The Buffalo News reports.

Garwood specializes in devices that reduce infection and promote healing after joint replacement surgery. The company uses a patented form of electrical stimulation technology that was developed by the University of Buffalo’s Department of Biomedical Engineering.
