New Ranier Spinal Disc Replacement Shows Promising Results

Ranier Technology recently announced clinical trial results from its Cadisc-L spinal replacement disc, which demonstrates the ability to significantly reduce disability scores and improve quality of life, according to a Ranier news release.

More than 80 percent of patients demonstrated significant improvement in Oswestery Disability Index Scores, with an average score of 63 percent after one year. The average for other disc prostheses is 47 percent.

Patients also showed an improvement in Quality Adjusted Life Year. The device is now regularly used in Europe.
