Misonix donates BoneScalpel for Belize spine surgery mission: 4 notes

Farmingdale, N.Y.-based Misonix donated a BoneScalpel to Spine Overseas for mission work at Karl Heusner Memorial Hospital in Belize.

Here are four notes:

 

1. Orthopedic surgeons John Williams, MD, and Jim Youssef, MD, founded Spine Overseas.

 

2. The organization includes 16 volunteers form the United States and Canada, who improve patient care and surgical education around the world.

 

3. The Spine Overseas team performed the first scoliosis surgery in Belize in 2012.

 

4. “We are thankful to the dedicated surgeons committed to helping those in need on this mission to Belize and their ongoing commitment to improving patients’ lives,” said Michael A.
