MiMedx Group Acquires Surgical Biologics

MiMedx Group, a Marietta, Ga.-based manufacturer of biomaterial-based products, has completed the acquisition of Surgical Biologics, a development company focused on tissue-processing techniques for creating implants, according to a company news release.

Surgical Biologics will operate as a wholly owned subsidiary of MiMedx Group. The company’s product portfolio includes the Purion process that follows strict guidelines for allograft processing.

MiMedx projects that 2011 company revenues from the acquisition will be in the range of $7 million.
