MicroPort Scientific’s Acquisition Creates MicroPort Orthopedics Division

Arlington, Tenn.-based MicroPort Scientific recently acquired Wright Medical Group’s OrthoRecon business and established its own MicroPort Orthopedics, now the sixth largest hip and knee reconstruction company in the world.

MicroPort Orthopedics, now the parent company’s largest division, will also be headquartered in Arlington, Tenn., and staffed by nearly 600 people.
