Medtronic unveils upgraded StealthStation neurosurgery technology — 5 notes

1. Neurosurgeons have leveraged the StealthStation technology for the past 25 years in more than 2.25 million procedures.

 

2. Medtronic now introduces the S8 model, which is designed to enhance workflows and provide comprehensive data integration.

 

3. The new model features an improved software interface, a two-cart platform design and electromagnetic technology.

 

4. The technology’s planning components allow surgeons to combine patient data and segment structures via touchscreen monitors for 3-D visualization.

 

5. The company unveiled the product at the American Academy of Neurological Surgeons annual conference in Los Angeles on April 24.
