The center was opened by the European Union Commissioner for Innovation, Research and Science Maire Geoghegan-Quinn. It will provide space for physicians to work with Medtronic engineers to develop new therapies.
Medtronic’s Galway site includes hybrid, demonstration and collaboration labs for visitors to experience the company’s technology and for physician-engineer collaborations to create new technology.
