The CD Horizon BalanC Rod includes the combination of PEEK and silicone materials and geometry to maximize results. The system is designed to lower stress on adjacent discs caused by spinal fusion, distribute fusion material more evenly to the anterior column and control the amount of motion at the adjacent segment while maintaining durability.
The rod is radiolucent, which allows the surgeon to view the quality of the fusion using X-ray or fluoroscopy.
