Medtronic Completes Two Device Company Acquisitions

Medtronic has completed its acquisition of PEAK Surgical and Salient Technologies, according to a Medtronic news release.

PEAK Surgical is a medical device manufacturer focused on advanced energy incision technology for ENT, plastic reconstructive and general surgery applications. The total value of the transaction is $120 million.

Salient Surgical Technologies is focused on advanced energy category for haemostatic sealing of soft tissue and bone, including applications for orthopedic, spine and thoracic procedures. The total transaction value was $525 million.

Medtronic was previously invested in both companies.
