Medical Device Industry Leader to Know: Steven Ek of Arthrosurface

 

Steven W. Ek is one of the founders of Arthrosurface, an orthopedic implant and medical device company. He currently serves as the company’s president and CEO. Mr. Ek has more than 24 years of experience in the commercialization of orthopedic devices and implants, with a focus on the design, manufacture as well as clinical and regulatory elements of new product development.

Mr. Ek previously served as vice president of engineering at STD Med, before which he was director of research and development at Smith & Nephew Endoscopy. Mr. Ek began his career as a design engineer at Linvatec, an arthroscopy and sports medicine company.
