Mayo Clinic, FundamentalVR team up: 3 things to know

FundamentalVR partnered with Rochester, Minn.-based Mayo Clinic to jointly develop surgical virtual reality simulation and education products.

Here are three things to know:

1. The three-year strategic alliance is designed to promote collaboration on robotics, patient-specific simulation data and 3D modeling.

2. Mayo Clinic physicians are leaders in 3D modeling, data science and simulation. FundamentalVR aligned with the health system to create new simulation content, assessment criteria and validation.

3. FundamentalVR’s Fundamental Surgery platform is live at Mayo Clinic’s centers in Arizona, Florida and Minnesota.
