Long Beach Memorial 1st in region to incorporate MAKOplasty procedures

Long Beach (Calif.) Memorial is the first in Long Beach and north Orange County to incorporate MAKOplasty procedures performed using the RIO Robotic Arm Interactive Orthopedic System by MAKO Surgical.

The hospital is offering the MAKOplasty Partial Knee Resurfacing and MAKOplasty Total Hip Replacement procedures. The RIO robotic arm helps surgeons in pre-surgical planning and during the procedure as it provides visualization of the joint and biomechanical data.
