Life Spine begins clinical trial for expandable spacer implant

Spinal implant manufacturer Life Spine began a clinical trial of its Prolift Lateral Expandable system July 7.

Three things to know:

1. The prospective study is one of eight clinical trials being conducted by Life Spine.

2. The Prolift device can be expanded to the ideal height for each patient, allowing for custom correction and disc height restoration.

3. Life Spine designed the implant with its Osseo-Loc surface technology, which offers a minimally invasive approach to transforaminal lumbar interbody fusion and posterior lumbar interbody fusion procedures.
