1. A lawsuit accusing Johnson & Johnson and DePuy Orthopaedics of defrauding the government by advertising defective hip replacement devices has been scrapped after it was discovered that the plaintiffs misused confidential records, according to an order unsealed Dec. 8.
2. Implant manufacturer Orthofix appointed Thomas West to its board of directors and its compensation and talent development committee.
3. Medacta launched its 360° cervical spine platform. The integrated platform has three main components: the Mecta-C standalone interbody fusion device, the Must Mini posterior cervical screw system and MySpine Cervical.
4. SeaSpine appointed Angela Steinway to its board of directors. Ms. Steinway will serve as a member of the company’s audit committee.
