Lanx Names Dr. Ryan DenHaese Medical Education Director for New Training Program

Spine device company Lanx has appointed Ryan DenHaese, MD, a neurosurgeon with Buffalo Spine Surgery in Lockport, N.Y., as medical education director, according to a company news release.

Dr. DenHaese, along with chair of the Surgeon Advisory Board Andrew Cappuccino, MD, will assist Lanx in the development of a training program for its Timberline Lateral System. The company is establishing regional training centers of excellence, which are staffed by surgeons who have an expertise in lateral fusion procedures and proctoring experience.

The Timberline system is a lateral minimally invasive spinal procedure that includes rectangular PEEK interbody spacer devices, a low profile modular retractor system, a fiber optic lighting system and instrumentation designed for lateral access.
