Kinetic Concepts Launches Incision Management System in the United States

Kinetic Concepts, a medical device company, launched the Prevena Incision Management System in the United States, according to a company news release.

Orthopedic surgeons can use the Prevena System to remove infectious material, protect the surgical site from external contamination, provide clean postoperative wound equipment and help draw the incision edges together, according to the release. The system is designed for single-patient use and could be transferred home with the patient after surgery.
