Kensey Nash Reports 32% Revenue Increase in 2Q, Driven by Orthopedics & Spine

Kensey Nash, an Exon, Pa.-based medical device company, reported a 32 percent revenue increase in the second quarter of fiscal year 2012, according to a company news release.

The company reported $23 million in quarterly revenue with net sales of $18 million, a 65 percent increase over the same quarter in 2011. The company’s core regenerative business sales increased 96 percent over the second quarter of 2011 while its spine product line grew by 154 percent to $5 million. Total orthopedic products grew by 148 percent to $11.9 million.

Last year, Stryker acquired Orthovita, Kensey Nash’s strategic partner, which drove the growth in spine sales for the second quarter.
