Elevation Spine received FDA 510(k) clearance for Saber-XA, an anterior lumbar interbody fusion system that combines an expandable cage with a zero-profile, FDA-cleared anterior lumbar plate.
The system allows surgeons to independently adjust implant height and lordotic angle during surgery. It also offers inline spike fixation and self-drilling screw options, according to an Aug. 11 news release.
Saber-XA is manufactured with 3D-printed titanium endplates and is available in three footprints with three sizes per footprint. The company said static ALIF systems can require upward of 70 implant sizing options, while Saber-XA provides height and lordosis configurations from nine total implant sizes.
The Saber-XA Anterior Lumbar Plate is an FDA-cleared zero-profile anterior lumbar plate designed to independently support the spinal column, according to the release.
