Here are five things to know about the new headquarters:
1. The project is expected to cost around $28 million funded through contributions from Trammell Crow Company, Keane Enterprises and K2M. The Town of Leesburg, Loudoun County and the Commonwealth will also contribute.
2. The expanded facility will be 146,000-square-feet and be used as a global headquarters as well as for research and development operations.
3. When the new facility is open, it’s expected to create 97 new jobs and retain 268 jobs.
4. K2M has been in Leesburg for 10 years, focusing on minimally invasive technology and techniques. The company went public earlier this year.
5. K2M launched the Small Business Development Center’s business plan competition in Loudoun County and sponsored the Loudoun County Fair and Loudoun 4-H.
