K2M earns FDA clearance for YUKON OCT Spinal System: 5 things to know

The FDA granted K2M clearance for its YUKON OCT Spinal System.

Here are five things to know:

 

1. The YUKON OCT Spinal System is designed to provide posterior fixation in the occipito-cervico-thoracic spinal regions.

 

2. K2M notes the system is intended to offer 3-D spinal balance alongside the company’s Balance ACS solution.

 

3. The system has top-loading, high angulation, polyaxial screws, which offer up to 105 degrees of polyaxial angulation.

 

4. The system’s screw heads are compatible with Ø3.5 and Ø4.0 mm rods of cobalt chrome and titanium.

 

5. Surgeons may use the YUKON OCT to treat various conditions, including degenerative cases, revisions and complex cervical deformities.
