1. The presentation is titled “Innovation in Spinal Cord Injury Treatment: The Investigational Neuro-Spinal Scaffold and Bioengineered Neural Trails.”
2. Robert Langer, ScD, of Cambridge-based Massachusetts Institute of Technology and co-founder of InVivo; Nicholas Theodore, MD, of Phoenix-based Barrow Neurosurgical Institute; and James Guest, MD, PhD, of University of Miami’s Miller School of Medicine, will present.
3. Dr. Theodore, who performed the first Neuro-Spinal Scaffold implantation, will also deliver an oral platform presentation.
4. The Neuro-Spinal Scaffold is a Humanitarian Use Device and researchers are testing the device in the INSPIRE study for treating patients with complete traumatic acute spinal cord injury.
5. “Cultivating mindshare in the neurosurgical community has been a significant initiative at InVivo as we progress through the INSPIRE study,” said Mark Perrin, CEO and chairman, InVivo.
