The policy went into effect in September, and it expands access for the procedure to more than 36 million patients, according to a news release. Earlier this year, Intracept earned coverage from Cigna.
Intracept is a minimally invasive procedure for chronic vertebrogenic low back pain. More than 15,000 patients have been treated with Intracept.
