Intellirod Spine Receives $1.6M From Ohio Commercial Acceleration Loan Fund

Columbus, Ohio’s Third Frontier Commission approved $6.5 million for the Commercial Acceleration Loan Fund’s first round, including $1.6 million to Akron-based Intellirod Spine.

Oberlin-based Synapse Biomedical received $2.4 million, Ohio State University’s biotech spinoff Nanofiber Solutions received $1.5 million and Cleveland Medical Devices received $1 million.

The funding is to help startups bring their high-tech devices to the market.
