Integra LifeSciences Introduces Two New Minimally Invasive Spinal Surgery Tools

Integra LifeSciences has introduced its NewPort Minimally Invasive Spinal System to the market and announced a limited release of the Integra Steerable Intervertebral Body Fusion Device, according to an Integra LifeSciences news release.

The two systems are designed as user-friendly and highly intuitive minimally invasive systems for the thoracolumbar spinal fixation procedures.

The Newport system is designed for a percutaneous approach to spinal procedures and combines with the company’s Malibu System implants. They system includes two rod deployment options and extended tab screws that serve as built-in towers.

The Steerable IBD allows the surgeon to steer a device into proper anatomical position and can be used with several types of curved implants.
