What you should know:

1. This is the fourth imaging system HSS purchased, and the first that is not on the hospital’s main campus.

2. HSS installed the system to reduce the amount of radiation patients are exposed to. Adding the system at its Westchester campus will better accommodate patients in the area who may have otherwise had to travel several hours to New York City for a low-dose X-ray.

3. HSS is offering the community access to the X-ray system. Any patient of any health system with a prescription for an X-ray can use the low-dose machine in Westchester.
