Hand Biomechanics Lab launches disposable blade assembly for carpal tunnel surgeries

Medical device company Hand Biomechanics Lab recently launched a blade assembly device for use in endoscopic carpal tunnel release.

The ECTR disposable blade assembly is compatible with the 3M Agee Inside Job and MicroAire SmartRelease systems and is meant to be a more cost-effective solution for surgeons, according to a Jan. 5 new release from the company.

The device is sold in a six-pack for $545, while the current standard device is sold in a six-pack for $1,140, the company said.
