Globus Medical’s revenue rises 7.1% in Q4: 5 notes

Globus Medical saw $250 million in sales in the fourth quarter of 2021 and $958.1 million in full-year sales, according to financial results posted Feb. 17.

Five things to know:

1. Year-over-year growth in the fourth quarter was 7.1 percent and 21.4 percent for all of 2021. 

2. The musculoskeletal solutions segment saw $224.6 million in fourth-quarter sales, up 4.3 percent from the same time last year.

3. Enabling technologies saw $25.4 million in sales, up 40.4 percent year over year. 

4. Net income for the fourth quarter was $15.1 million. For the full year, Globus Medical saw a net income of $149.2 million. 

5. ExcelsiusGPS sales is a primary factor driving growth in enabling technologies, Dave Demski, president and CEO of Globus Medical, said in a news release.
