Globus Medical earns FDA approval for non-fusion scoliosis system

Globus Medical recieved FDA aproval for its Reflect scoliosis correction system, the devicemaker said May 15.

Reflect is designed to address scoliosis in pediatric patients without the need for a spinal fusion. Its implants can be used through a minimally invasive approach.

“Reflect has been available internationally for several years, and Globus Medical is very excited to make this system available to patients in the United States,” Kelly Baker, senior vice president of regulatory and clinical affairs at Globus Medical, said in the release.
