CHU de Bordeaux is the 15th French university hospital specializing in spine surgery to adopt the technology.
The hospital has acquired several technologies for spine surgery in addition to PediGuard, including preoperative three-dimensional imaging, navigation with infrared and robot-assisted surgery.
“Many orthopedic surgeons who practice [at CHU of Bordeaux] benefit from international renown among their peers, and it is extremely satisfying that they are beginning to use our Dynamic Surgical Guidance based devices,” said Pierre Jerome, CEO and co-founder of SpineGuard. “PediGuard is now used in half of the French university hospitals and a quarter of the spine surgery teaching institutions in the United States.”
