Former Zimmer Biomet spine president appointed CEO of Stimwave

Stimwave Technologies, a device company that develops neurostimulation solutions for chronic pain relief, named Aure Bruneau CEO on April 3.

He succeeds Interim CEO Paul LaViolette, who will remain chairman of the board.

Mr. Bruneau has more than 20 years of experience in the medical device industry, including executive roles at Zimmer Biomet, Biomet Microfixation and Medtronic, according to his LinkedIn profile.

Since December 2017, Mr. Bruneau spearheaded the spine, robotic and craniomaxillofacial/thoracic surgery businesses at Zimmer Biomet. As group president, he managed a department with $750 million in annual revenues, as well as 1,200 team members and business partners.

His core achievements at Zimmer Biomet include leading robotic technology through development and commercialization, creating speedy growth innovations in spine surgery and earning FDA-approvals in several markets.
