Last month, Smith & Nephew filed a lawsuit against nine former employees, accusing them of conspiring to use confidential company information to start a competing business. The company’s lawsuit included an affidavit from a current employee who claims the group, which was responsible for Smith & Nephew’s Visionaire product, was planning a “mass resignation” with intentions of starting their own company, according to the news report.

It is also alleged that the former employees would use the confidential intellectual property to offer consulting services. One of the former employees has filed a countercomplaint alleging libel, while other employees claim the device company owes them money, according to the news report.
