FDA clears Camber Spine Technologies’ SPIRA Open Matrix ALIF: 5 highlights

Camber Spine Technologies earned FDA clearance for its SPIRA Open Matrix ALIF device.

1. The SPIRA device is intended to boost fusion rates and stabilization.

 

2. It is equipped with spiral support arches that load shares across the whole endplate.

 

3. The device’s Surface by Design technology is a roughed surface intended to promote bone growth through an “optimized pore diameter, strut thickness and trabecular pattern.”

 

4. The device is designed for patients with degenerative disc disease at one or two contiguous levels from L2 to S1.

 

5. The SPIRA represents Camber’s tenth spinal implant systems line released in the U.S.
