EDGE Orthopaedics receives FDA clearance for plating systems

 
EDGE Orthopaedics received 510(k) clearance from the U.S. Food and Drug Administration for the VIEW Plating System and REDUCE Fracture Plating System.

The VIEW Plating System includes anatomic plates used to support multiple indications within the mid-foot. The REDUCE Fracture Plating System offers surgeons a wide range of low-profile plate designs.

 

The company is a new entry into the orthopedic device market and this is its second FDA clearance. Its first was for BITE Compression Screws earlier this year.
