The device was used in a two-level transforaminal interbody fusion at CaroMont Regional Medical Center in Gastonia, N.C., according to an April 4 news release. The 15-degree lordotic implant has a small footprint and is designed for minimally invasive procedures.

Dr. Renaud said in the release that the 15-degree cage provides indirect decompression.

“For this TLIF procedure, my patient presented with severe stenosis at L3-4 and L4-5 and a loss of lordosis,” he said. “For these reasons the goals of surgery were decompression, reduction of spondylolisthesis and restoration of lordosis.”

At the Becker's 23rd Annual Spine, Orthopedic and Pain Management-Driven ASC + The Future of Spine Conference, taking place June 11-13 in Chicago, spine surgeons, orthopedic leaders and ASC executives will come together to explore minimally invasive techniques, ASC growth strategies and innovations shaping the future of outpatient spine care.
