Dr. Richard Rosa Performs New Jersey’s First Anatomic Knee Replacement With iTotal

Richard Rosa, MD, an orthopedic surgeon with The Joint Institute at Saint Barnabas Medical Center in Livingston, N.J., recently became the first surgeon in the state to perform an anatomic total knee replacement using the iTotal from ConforMIS, according to a report from NJ Today.

The iTotal CR knee replacement is an implant designed specifically for each patient based upon CT scan images of the patient’s knee. It received FDA clearance earlier this year, and currently 20 surgeons are performing the procedure nationwide, according to the report.
