The system adds to the Journey II portfolio and offers a tibial insert that can provide more normal motion, according to a Feb. 10 news release.

“Adding a medial dished component to the JOURNEY II total knee arthroplasty portfolio is a significant development and expands the options I’m able to offer my patients,” Schwarzkopf said in the release. “It allows me to optimize the kinematics for my patients while also providing good stability in either a cruciate-retaining or cruciate-sacrificing total knee replacement procedure.”
