Five notes:
1. Dr. Frisch is part of the 10 orthopedic practices in the U.S. participating in the clinical study.
2. During the study, knee and hip replacement patients will use the Zimmer Biomet mymobility app that will sync to an Apple Watch so researchers can combine patient-reported feedback with continuous health and activity data.
3. The study aims to guide patients through pre- and postoperative care while gaining new insights that may affect the standard of care for joint replacement surgery.
4. “The use of wearable technology has absolutely exploded in recent years. It’s exciting to see how we can utilize that technology in joint replacement to enhance our patients’ experience and outcomes,” said Dr. Frisch.
