Neurosurgeon Matthew Philips, MD, performed Southcoast Health’s 200th procedure with the system, according to a June 2 news release. The milestone surgery was a posterior lumbar interbody fusion and took place at St. Luke’s Hospital in New Bedford.

Southcoast Health is the first system in Massachusetts to adopt 7D’s surgical system, and it’s the second institution in the nation to reach the milestone. Cleveland Clinic hit the 200-procedure mark less than a month ago.

At the Becker's 23rd Annual Spine, Orthopedic and Pain Management-Driven ASC + The Future of Spine Conference, taking place June 11-13 in Chicago, spine surgeons, orthopedic leaders and ASC executives will come together to explore minimally invasive techniques, ASC growth strategies and innovations shaping the future of outpatient spine care.
