1. Dr. Albright is among the first surgeons to utilize the disc in the Raleigh area.
2. The Mobi-C disc is the only FDA-approved cervical disc replacement disc for both one- and two-levels.
3. In an FDA Investigational Device Exemption study, researchers found the two-level cervical disc replacement had an overall success rate of 69.7 percent, compared to cervical fusions’ 37.4 percent success rate.
4. The study also found patient who received the two-level cervical disc replacement returned to work an average of three weeks before patients undergoing the cervical fusion, at 24 months.
5. Dr. Albright completed a spine surgery fellowship at Cleveland-based St. Luke’s Medical and a knee and hip replacement and revision surgery fellowship at Boston-based Massachusetts General Hospital.
