Dignity Health St. Mary’s Medical Center adds Mazor Robotics’ Renaissance robot

Dignity Health St. Mary’s Medical Center in Long Beach, Calif., added the Mazor Robotics Renaissance computer-generated guidance system to its spine center.

The Renaissance system is a robot-assisted system that aims to support more accurate implant placement during lumbar and thoracic spine fusion cases. The addition makes St. Mary’s the only hospital in the Bay area to offer this technology.

During the third quarter of 2013, Mazor Robotics sold five systems, with revenue reaching $6.1 million.
