Diamond Orthopedic aims to penetrate ASC market with FDA clearance for orthopedic screws

Diamond Orthopedic received FDA 510(k) clearance for its sterile-packaged faceted bone screw technology.

The patented faceted screw design is intended for surgeons to use to insert screws into bone with less torque, reducing the potential for microfractures. The design is engineered to exhibit better purchase at the bone-screw interface and reduced compressive stress compared to traditional helical screws.
