DePuy to Invest $27M in Equipment Upgrades

DePuy Orthopaedics, a Warsaw, Ind.-based orthopedic device company, is planning to spend $20 million on manufacturing equipment and $7 million on research and development equipment for its company by 2014, according to The Journal Gazette.

The investment isn’t expected to create jobs in Warsaw, a 10-year property tax abatement has been approved by the city council. However, the company already supports 1,150 employees in the area, according to the report.
