DePuy Synthes introduces cementless option for knee system

DePuy Synthes launched its Attune Cementless Knee system Sept. 9.

Four things to know:

1. The Attune Knee is designed to provide stability while the knee is in motion.

2. The device features the Attune Gradius Curve to provide stability through the range of motion and Glideright Articulation to replicate the relationship between the patella and femur.

3. The technology’s four porous-coated pegs and a central cone were designed to improve fixation.

4. Cementless total knee replacement procedures increased over 25 percent in the U.S. from 2017 to 2018, according to the DRG Q3 2018 Construct Report.
