DePuy Synthes Spine receives FDA 510(k) clearance for its SYNAPSE Occipital-Cervical-Thoracic System

DePuy Synthes Spine received FDA 510(k) Clearance for its SYNAPSE Occipital-Cervical-Thoracis (OCT) System with posterior cervical screws, according to a press release.

This is the first time that cervical screws have been made to be used with a screw-rod posterior fixation system.

The SYNAPSE OCT System was created to provide immobilization and stabilization of spinal segments.
