BoxSpine earned FDA clearance for its Duet spinal fixation system, according to an Aug. 9 news release.
Duet is a three-piece stabilization system designed to eliminate the need for traditional rods. The design has a halo device that captures a spherical implant head, creating 360° contact and allowing 35° to 60° of articulation. Components are secured with a locking cap that engages with the implant.
The device comes in a single-use sterile instrument kit, making it well-suited for ASCs.
At the Becker's 23rd Annual Spine, Orthopedic and Pain Management-Driven ASC + The Future of Spine Conference, taking place June 11-13 in Chicago, spine surgeons, orthopedic leaders and ASC executives will come together to explore minimally invasive techniques, ASC growth strategies and innovations shaping the future of outpatient spine care.
