BioSET Subleases Tissue Repair Technology for Sports Medicine Use

BioSET, a medical technology development company, has subleased new soft tissue repair technology to Tornier for developing synthetic peptides for sports medicine applications, according to an R&D report.

BioSET uses bioactive peptides in order to communicate growth signals to damaged cells, which promotes the healing process.

Tornier will use the technology to emphasize treatment on rotator cuff, shoulder, knee, and elbow injuries. The company is working to develop a soft-tissue graft with synthetic human growth factor.
